I am drawn to emotions. I want to feel what I see and I want to invoke my viewer to feel as well. While images may be fleeting, emotions create a lasting connection to the work.

Being a self-taught artist, my subjects serve as my teachers. The human figure and portrait emphasises accuracy while still life offers space for stylistic exploration and focus on colour. Landscapes and cityscapes teach atmospheric emotion and the strength and importance of abstraction and reduction. Plein air painting instills the ability to see the truth.

As a representational artist, I believe that realism alone lacks a glimpse into the artist’s mind. My goal is to present subjects with a mysterious, emotional, disrupted and impressionistic touch, infusing my own flair. Through this I aim to express, expand and enhance.

My art journey is an ever evolving experience.
